Ciudad de las artes y las ciencias (City of arts and sciences), Valencia, Spain.

Valencia Street Circuit, Valencia, Spain

It is an entertainment complex right next to the shore of the beach in Valencia that was opened in April 1998. It was designed by the renowed architects Santiago Calatrava and Felix Candela. It is the most important modern tourist attraction in Valencia.

Although I couldn’t get inside these amazing buildings, I enjoyed the walk all along the shore after the Formula 1 Grand Prix. Personally I liked more Valencia than Barcelona. Maybe Valencia does not have as many tourist attractions as Barcelona but the beach is just amazing! Specially during the “Fiesta de San Juan” weekend or the Formula 1 weekend. During the “Fiesta de San Juan” you can go the beach and drink and have a good time with a bunch of young people around a bonfire. And during the Grand Prix, the city is engulfed in glamour and you can enjoy a great afternoon listening to the mighty roar of the 2.4-litre V8 engines.
